Community Dance

South Hill Neighbours Community Dance

Saturday, January 30th, come join the 3rd Annual South Hill Community Dance from 6:30 – 9:30 pm at Moberly Arts & Cultural Centre (Prince Albert & 60th)

Bring the whole family and move together.  See old friends; meet new friends.   The dancing will be led by several different dance teachers.  We’ll travel the globe learning dances from various cultures.  Get up, move & laugh as we dance to music from different decades and cultures.  You don’t need a partner, just show up and join in.  Food, friends and music – come and join the fun.

INSIDE STORIES – facilitator guide & report

At the end of 2013, Jessica Moerman completed her Master of Arts in Community Development at the University of Victora.  Her research project looked at how INSIDE STORIES can be used to help build welcoming communities.  She also created a facilitator’s guide that can be used alongside the digital stories found on the interactive website.  You can follow the links and use them to facilitate sharing stories and helping people to move from being strangers to being neighbours.

2014 South Hill Festival

Bring the whole family to create, connect, play and learn at the 2014 South Hill Festival. This year we’ll celebrate sustenance that is local, sustainable, healthy and bursting with world flavours. We also want to explore how a flourishing community provides nourishment for the body, mind and soul. Join in community art, learn about growing vegetables, shoot a few baskets, climb the 24′ wall, watch performers on stage or at street level, check out the BIA Food
