Neighbours for a Sustainable Future (otherwise known as “NSF”) is a group of concerned neighbours who gather monthly in order to help each other to live more sustainably, become aware of community initiatives, and more informed of environmental issues at large.
The group organizes meetings around a topic of interest at various members' homes and newcomers are always welcome to attend these social and supportive gatherings. Our goal is to combine information-sharing with community action, drawing upon
local knowledge and expertise to learn more about health, food security, environmental toxins, recycling, gardening, energy efficiency, and community-building.
We attempt to involve our children in some discussions and activities and we collaborate with Village Vancouver’s Transition Town and the South Vancouver Neighbourhood House.
